Mucky Pup

Rewind 20 years ago to a VFW in Middletown, NJ. Ripping Corpse, Dirge and Mucky Pup. Yup, I saw them that long ago and today the comedy crossover ran through a set of classics and “everyone” knew the words, it was crazy. Brought back some great memories for me.
Chicken curry, pork in a BBQ/ketchup sauce, noodles with meat, dirty rice, yellow rice, green bean and shrimp cakes. All of these items were today’s meal and they were all served together on top of one another with the shrimp cakes serving as the seafood cherry. As soon as I walked up a guy started making a plate while I was looking over the choices for decision, and as soon as I looked up from my hawk-eyed examination, a plate was presented to me. I cringed a bit spying everything piled atop of one another, glanced around the room and noticed this was “the way” to eat. I submitted to my own separately thinking mind and I’m glad I did, as the flavor combos worked really well together, I went back for thirds and then sampled some of the vegetarian versions as well.
The Dynamo Festival in Eindhoven is where this all went down and MW played of course (well received) along with Textures and the mighty old school death metal Asphyx. Great day.

TOBLERONE

The Leviathan size, only available at sea. Ferry to France.

Marching Out!

Reading Festival. Catering was segregated today. I walked all the way across the site only to be denied due to the wrong ticket. Bummer! I did manage to get some desserts, cheesecake and tiramisu. The cheesecake was raisin and sub par but the tiramisu was worth all it’s richness and helped fuel my exodus through a mixed bag of drunkards on a gallons gallop.

Local sausages, under cooked corn on the cob (again, as they had it at Leeds by the backstage on a makeshift grill along with undercooked charspoiled chicken) and chicken kabobs were today’s make full.

For me, yesterday felt like hitting the rim trying to three point at the last second, but today’s game was a slam dunk similar to finally being able to fire a weapon in District 9. We wore the crowd out like newbie’s at boot camp. Exercised and entertained, our mission was successful.

1st Show LEEDS

Rain, mud & cold weather at an outdoor festival = shitty time for me. The first show is always like picking a scab I think. The moral booster came from the amazing catering I had later on in the day after I witnessed Them Crooked Vultures surprise set. I can't wait until they record. If you don't know about Them Vultures, you will soon enough.
The food...The catering was astounding! I had pork tenderloin with apricot stuffing with a piece of charred pork skin (kinda like pork belly) on top along with potatoes, i think sugar snap peas & a vegetarian bean cake that I asked for as extra to fill the plate up.
Dessert was in a league it's own, dark chocolate covered cream puffs and fresh raspberry cheesecake! I forgot my camera and had someone shoot for me, phone shot but a shot at least.

On the road again.....

Time to fire up the ole' eating machine and the mind a bit while I'm at it. Each time I go to Detroit, leaving is already on my mind before I even get to the venue. The Peanut Butter, Banana, Honey & Bacon on toasted Whole Wheat bread (at the airport no less) made me lower my guard for a bit. I am still not a Detroit fan (besides being a Red Wings fan briefly), but the trippy, soundscaped kaleidoscope brain wave, similar to a psychadelic aquarium and the PB&B sando made the first new memory of Detroit for me.
